My interest in helping dyslexic individuals learn to read began at a young age when my younger brother was diagnosed with dyslexia. At the time, I witnessed the struggles that my brother faced due to his inability to read like other children his age. I also watched as his reading abilities improved dramatically and his confidence grew as he worked through the Barton System with a tutor. I was fascinated by the improvement I saw with my brother and this inspired me. I decided that I wanted to learn the Barton System so that I could help other dyslexic children learn to read.
